Jack Samuel Rogers, age 78, of Linton, was called home to be with the Lord on Monday, March 26, 2012, at Greene County General Hospital in Linton. He was born Nov. 2, 1933, in Jasonville, the son of Miles & Edith Rogers.

Jack was a devoted follower of Jesus Christ for over fifty years. In 1954, he enlisted in the U. S. Air Force. When he returned to the states, he was stationed at Lincoln, Nebraska, at a Strategic Air Command base. May 1, 1957, Jack & Deneane Fisher were married. Jack worked for RCA in Bloomington for twenty-three years, retiring in 1988.

Survivors include his wife, Deneane Rogers, of Linton, three children, Sara (Tim) House, Randy (Paula Crosley) Rogers, & Amy Sullivan, all of Linton, two brothers, Miles Rogers & Rick Rogers, two sisters, Phyllis Pittman & Alona Vandeventer, four grandchildren, Kammi (Jesse) Yeryar, Britanee House, Justin Rogers, & Cody Shake, & five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Charles & Bob, & two sisters, Lenora & Betty.

A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday, March 30, at Welch & Cornett Funeral Home in Linton, Brother Orell Overman officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 11:00 A.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Friday at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions can be made to Pleasant Grove Church of Christ mission fund through the funeral home.
