Saturday afternoon, Sept. 2d, at the home of his son William in Amboy occurred the death of Henry Bryant, aged 74 years. Deceased was born in Brede, Sussex county, England in 1837. He came to America at the age of 13 and first settled in Columbia, Herkimer county, N.Y. He moved in 1860 from there to the town of Amboy, where he resided up to the time of his death. Mr. Bryant was an upright honest man, a good neighbor, a kind and indulgent father, and all who knew him will regret to learn of his death. He is survived by a widow, two sons, William and Frank of Amboy, and two daughters, Mrs. Charles Patchen of West Amboy and Mrs. Frank Patchen of Rome, N.Y.; also six grandchildren and one great grandchild, all of Amboy. The funeral was held at the M. E. church, Amboy Center, Tuesday, Sept. 5th. Interment at Columbia, Herkimer county, N.Y.
