Born June 15, 1908 in Butler, he was the son of William and Margaret Covert Truby.
Mr. Truby retired in 1972 after 30 years as a mill recorder at the Brackenridge works of Allegheny Ludlum Steel.
He was a member of Faith Lutheran Church, Natrona Heights.
Mr. Truby had played softball for many teams in the Natrona Heights area.
Surviving are his wife, Irene Himber Truby, to whom he had been married for 53 years, a daughter, two sons, two brothers, a sister, two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Two brothers and six sisters preceded him in death.
Burial in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
