He was a 1949 graduate of Gladewater High School. He lived most of his life in Gladewater. He served in the Korean War, worked in the East Texas Oilfield, at LoneStar Steel Company; and at Texas Eastman in Longview for about 25 years.
He was married for 52 years to Ruth Nell Wilks of Gladewater. He is survived by his wife, a daughter,two granddaughters, two brothers, and one sister.
