Mrs. Jennie Crawford, wife of Alonza Crawford, died at 12:34 o'clock this Saturday morning, after a long illness of a complication of diseases.
She was born March 22, 1872, and at the time of death was aged 63 years and 21 days. She was a daughter of Benjamin and Mary (Shingler) Gordon and was born at Richmond Furnace, Pa. She was a member of the Zion Lutheran church at Petersburg and was a loyal supporter of the church. She was a loving and patient mother and kind neighbor and friend to all who knew her.
Surviving are her husband and following children: Clarence Crawfrod, of Toledo, Ohio; Mrs. Dorothy Steele, of Altoona; Mrs. Rebecca McCartney, of Barree; Mrs. Beulah Russler, of Petersburg; Miss Helen Crawford, at home. Three grandchildren also survive as well as one sister and six brothers; Mrs. Hannah work, of Alexandria; William Gordon of Spruce Creek; Jacob Gordon of Waterstreet; John Gordon of Alexandria; Clarence Gordon, of Alexandria; Clarence Gordon, of Petersburg; and Guy and Edward Gordon, of Ottawa Lake, Michigan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 o'clock Monday morning, April 15, at the late home and will be in charge of Rev. Charles H. Strong, of the Zion Lutheran Church, of Petersburg. Interment will be in the Alexandria cemetery by Temple's funeral service.
