Claud Beene, 84 a native of Claiborne Parish and former resident of Haynesville, La. died in Highland hospital in Shreveport. He has resided in Shreveport since 1937 and had worked in the investment business and was a farmer. He was also president of Haynesville Mercantile company and was a member of First Baptist Church in Shreveport, where he had served on the finance committe for many years. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Clare W. Beene, One daughter, Mrs. Marjorie Wilkler, One sister, two grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
