This is the obituary of Ezekiel Hall, Sr. which appeared in Anderson Intelligencer June 1892.
Died at this place on Friday, 17th last, Mr. Ezekiel Hall, in the one hundreth year of his age. In his death, Anderson County loses one of her best and most upright citizens. For twenty-one years, he was a member of Rocky River Baptist Church. He was always loved by his neighbors, and always ready to lend a helping hand to the poor and unfortunate. In many ways he was a most remarkable man. He was always strong and healthy, and during his long life was never visited but once by a physician. With the exception of one, which had been drawn out a few years ago; all of his teeth were sound. He leaves six children to mourn his death. On Saturday, his remains were buried at Rocky River Church, the funeral services being conducted by Reverend G.M. Rogers in the presence of a large congregation of friends and relatives. May God comfort and bless the bereaved family.
