Ellery O. Allison, son of Will and Melissa Allison, was born November 18, 1882, in the Hall Community east of Delphos, Kansas. He passed away at the Ottawa County Hopsital, January 3, 1974 at the age of ninety-one years, one month and sixteen days. He spent his entire life farming in the Hall Community until he retired in 1945 and moved to near Minneapolis, Kansas.

He was united in marriage with Lylia Wheeler November 6, 1912. She preceded him in death in 1948. To this union four children were born, the eldest dying in infancy.

Surviving are daughter Ethel and husband Ford Comfort, Minneapolis, and sons Melvin and wife Helen, and Rolland and wife LoRee, both of Delphos; five grandchildren: Don, Dean and wife Christine, Darrell and wife Norva, Bill and wife Carree, all of Delphos and Elaine of Kansas City, Kansas; and nine great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by four sisters and two brothers. Surviving are his brother Leo of Delphos and four sisters: Mrs. Ida Chambers of Minneapolis, Mrs Ada Buffington, Marquette, Mrs. Grace Berndt and Mrs Marie Tyler both of Salina as well as other relatives and friends.


He was a member of the Hall Wesleyan Church. Even after he was not able to attend the services he maintained a continued interest and steadfast faith.

he will be remembered as a kind and loving father, thoughtful of others, and leaving a rich heritage to his family.
