FORMER STATE PRESIDENT OF WRC IS DEAD

A Fairfield woman who had held several state and national offices in the Women's Relief Corps passed away this morning. She is Mrs. Roland D. MARSH (sic. middle initial should be "H" for her husband; her full name was Theresa Christina KLEINMAN MARSH), 69, who died at the St. Joseph's hospital in Ottumwa at 8:15 a.m.

Mrs. MARSH, whose family home is located at 301 W. Stone street, had been in failing health the past five months and seriously ill the past six weeks. She was taken to the hospital at Ottumwa May 16.

Last rites will be Wednesday at 9 a.m. at the St. Mary's Catholic church with Rev. Father H. M. Thoman in charge. Burial will be in Evergreen cemetery.

The body will be taken from the Hoskins funeral home to the family home Tuesday afternoon. The Rosary will be recited at the family home at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday evening.

Mrs. MARSH was well known in Fairfield, having lived in this community practically all of her life. She was Past National Junior Vice President of the W.R.C., and also served as its state department president, secretary and treasurer. Mrs. MARSH was a member of the St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rosary society and the Royal Neighbors.

She also took part in many civic affairs and served the community as clerk and judge at elections for the past several years.

Theresa Christina MARSH was born March 28, 1879, at Ottumwa, the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret LOEHR KLEINMAN. She came to Fairfield when only three months old and had made her home in this community since.

She was united in marriage August 6, 1901 at Fairfield to Roland D. MARSH (sic.), who survives.

She is also survived by a sister, Mrs. T. G. NEIBERT, Fairfield. A son, Roland K., preceded her in death December 18, 1941.
