Obituary - William T. Simpson, a member of the New York State Legislature, from 1914 to 1922 and chairman of the State War Ballot Commission in World War II, died Monday at the St. James (N.Y.) Nursing Home. He was 94 years old. Mr. Simpson was a partner in the law firm of Flamman, Arnold & Simpson in New York City. He lived in Brooklyn and later in Stony Brook, L.I. He was in the Assembly from 1914 to 1917 and in the Senate in 1921 and 1922 and served 10 years on the Republican State Committee. As an Assemblyman, Mr. Simpson sponsored a bill that created the State Athletic Commission. He was born in Patchogue, L.I., where his ancestors settled in 1673. He was a graduate of New York Law School and served with the Air Force in World War I. Mr. Simpson is survived by a sister, Mrs. Robert L. Lamkin of Arlington, Va.
