Rabbi Meyer Stramsfeld and Cantor H. Joseph Thaw of Temple Sinai, Marblehead, officiated at services held Sunday at 12 noon in the Stanetsky Schlossberg Hymanson Memorial Chapel, 10 Vinnin Sq. Swampscott, for Mrs. Elizabeth (Baker) Kaplowitch of 45 Dolphin Ave, Beachmont, who died Saturday in Beverly Hospital after a long illliness.

A native of Lawrence and resident of this city for over 40 years, she was a member of the Revere Chapter of B'nai B'rith, New England Sinai Hospital and Temple B'nai Israel, Beachmont.

Mrs. Kaplowitch, 70, wife of the late Jack Kaplowitch leaves a daughter, Mrs. Selma Shoer, and a son, Norman A. Kaplowitch both of Marblehead; four brothers, Morris of Long Beach, CA, Maxwell and Nathan, both of Haverhill and Harry Baker of Portland, Maine, and five grandsons. She was also the sister of the late Mrs. Sally Schlafman.

Burial was in Children of Israel Cemetery, Haverhill.
Memorial Week is being observed at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Shoer, 7 Countryside Lane, Marblehead.
Expressions of sympathy in her memory may be made to the Kidney Foundation c/o Beverly Hospital, Beverly.
