Nathan Baker, 73, of 440 North Ave., died this morning at the Haverhill Municipal (Hale) Hospital.
He was born in Salem, NH 14 Feb 1912, son of the late Barned and Rose (Gedansky) Baker and had lived in Haverhill for more that 50 years. He was graduated from Lawrence High School and was associated for many years with his brother Maxwell, of Haverhill, at Fruitland, Oxford Manor Nursing Home, and Northside Courts. He was a life member of Congregatin Anshe Sholom Snyagogue.
He was the husband of Bessie (Heifitz) Baker.
Besides his wife and brother, he leaves a son Billy S. Baker, Haverhill; a daughter Roberta (Mrs. Louis) Damelin, Burlington; two more brothers, Morris, Long Beach CA and Harry Baker, Portland, Maine; six grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
His funeral will be a 1 PM Wednesday at Congregation Anshe Sholom synagogue, 427 Main St.
Burial will be in children of Israel Cemetery. There will be a memorial observance at his residence, Building 1, Apartment 22, 440 North Ave, Until sundown Friday.
