Isaac Beall was born in 1775 to Verlinda and Thomas Beall, the founder of Cumberland. He married Rebecca Tomlinson in Allegany County on 19 Sept 1807. She was born in 1783 and died in 1847 in Garrett County. Will of his uncle Josiah Beall names him as an heir and son of the above parents.

He was brother to Eleanor, John Brooke, Josiah, Priscilla, Elizabeth, Lucy, and Nancy Ann Beall.

In 1851, Elizabeth Magraw had a stone wall placed around the cemetery. At the entrance was a marker inscribed:

TOMLINSON CEMETERY
1851
Erected by Elizabeth Magraw

In the center of the cemetery is a large monument with "TOMLINSON" "Erected by Surviving Relatives, 1851" inscribed on it. The top of the marker was laying on the ground near the base of the monument. Other information on the North Side of the Monument:

BEALL, Isaac Apr 9, 1850/1860 In his 73rd year
BEALL, Rebecca Aug 17, 1847 Wife of Isaac & eldest daughter of Jesse & Elizabeth Tomlinson In her 61st year
