She was a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand Duval. On January 12, 1909 she married Joseph Parent at Wild Rice. They came to the Flaxville area in May 1910 to homestead. In 1965 they moved to Scobey.

She is survived by her husband, two sons, David of Miles City and Louis of Brickermeyer, IL, six daughters, Mrs. Aime Carrier of Scobey, Mrs. William Karr of Gardens, CA, Mrs. N. L. Shuman of Scobey, Mrs. Kenneth McFarlan of Big Sandy, Mrs. Robert Ellertson of Lewistown, and Mrs. George Johnson of Big Fork, and 22 grandchildren and 28 great grandchildren.
