Scobey - Gaspard Duval, 81, Flaxville homesteader, died Aug. 13.
He was born April 23, 1890, at Wild Rice, N.Dak. He married Laura Cassete of Wild Rice in 1911. In 1912 he homesteaded one mile west of Flaxville, where he lived and farmed most of his life. Mrs. Duval died Feb. 1970.
He is survived by two sons, Edward of Flaxville, and Norman of Arlington, Texas; one daughter, Irene Hanisch of Portland, Ore.; six brothers and three sisters; six grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
Services at St. Louis Catholic Church in Flaxville. Burial in Flaxville cemetery.
