Wallace "Wally"  V. Lethenstrom 1918 ~ 2004
Wallace "Wally" Vincent Lethenstrom, 85 of Salt Lake City, died at home peacefully on May 9, 2004. He was born November 22, 1918 in Audubon, Minnesota to Halvor A. and Amanda Lundberg Lethenstrom. Married Margaret Nuessle on June 14, 1943 in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served in the China Burma India Theatre during World War II and attained the rank of Lt. Colonel. He worked for the U. S. Government until his retirement.

Wally enjoyed helping others, traveling, close contact with family, and projects ("Mr. Fix-it"). Your loving, caring, and compassion is appreciated will be truly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret. Children: Peter of Montana; Paul (Bobbi) of Alaska; Mary Chase of Utah; and James of Utah. Son-in-law, Bob Harmon of Utah. Grandchildren, Katie, Emily, Amanda, Joshua, MacKenzie, Tara, and Adam. Great grandchild, Madison Jane. Sisters, Lucille Mackey of California; Eunice Solem of North Dakota; and sister-in-law, Gladys of Minnesota.

Wallace was preceded in death by his parents, brother Mervyn, sister, Frances, daughter, Jane Harmon, granddaughter, Heidi Harmon, grandson, Eli Puttuck, and son-in-law, Steve Chase. A special thank you to family, friends, and Rocky Mountain Hospice who so lovingly cared for him.

A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 15th, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1375 East Spring Lane (5000 South), where friends may call one hour prior to mass. Committal, Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery, 4th Avenue and T Street.
Funeral Directors, Neil O'Donnell and Sons.
