J. Steven Chase, 50, died Feb. 3, 1999 in Sandy, Utah.

Born the third child of ten, July 4, 1948 in Salt Lake City to John Paul and Shirley Hoggan Chase. Married Mary Puttuck in 1984. He was a Multi-faceted person, holding advanced degrees such as a BS in Geology from Westminster College. He was a certified building inspector for the State of Utah, a licensed real estate broker, and was a certified science teacher. He was employed as a general framing contractor in the Utah area the past 25 years.

Survived by his wife of Sandy; and parents of Draper; also brothers and sisters, David, Marilyn Stephen, Jim, Jeanie Green, Roger, Richard, and Amelia Stubblefield; also foster brothers, William and Wesley Young; as well as all their spouses and numerous nieces and nephews. He was also survived by a stepdaughter, Amanda Puttuk, and was preceded in death by stepson, Eli Puttuck.

A memorial service will be held Sunday 3 p.m. at the Neil O'Donnell & Sons Mortuary, 372 East 100 South, SLC, where friends may visit one hour prior to the services.
