RITES FOR MRS. BALDWIN ON WEDNESDAY
Rushville - Funeral services were held at 2 Wednesday afternoon for Mrs. Alice M. Baldwin, prominent civic and church leader of this village, who died in Thompson Hospital Sunday afternoon. She was 76.
Mrs. Baldwin had been a patient of the hospital since last Tuesday but was believed to be making satisfactory progress until she suffered a coronary attack.
Services for Mrs. Baldwin were held in the Rushville Methodist Church with the Rev. Donald Cronk officiating.
Burial was made in Rushville Cemetery.
Mrs. Baldwin was born Nov. 20, 1876 in Italy Hill, the daughter of George and Nancy Griswold Pulver.
In November 1898 she married the late Alfred Baldwin and soon moved to a farm near Rushville, a place later to become known as Baldwin's Corners. Mr. Baldwin died in 1927.
Mrs. Baldwin was president of Rushville organization of the Women's Christian Temperance Union, an office she held for the past several years. She was a member of the Rushville Methodist church, The Evergreen class of that church and the women's society of Christian Service. She also was a member of the Tuesday club and the Rushville Grange.
She leaves a daughter, Mrs. William Fisher of Rushville, two sons, George Baldwin of Rushville, and Leslie Baldwin of Waterloo; a brother, John Pulver of Prattsburg; one granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.
