John March died yesterday at his home a few miles northwest of the city. The exact cause of his death is not known,but it is believed to have resulted from a severe fall which he experienced a few days ago. At the time of his death hew was 79 years, 7 months and 15 days old.
Five children survived him.They are John L.,Stanley,George W.,Mary E. and Sarah,all of whom reside in Decatur except Mary Ellen Ellis, whose home is in Nebraska. Mr. March had been a resident of this county for forty years and was looked upon by everybody who knew him as a worthy and exemplary citizen.
He was for thirty years a member of the Christian church in good standing. The funeral will take place from the Christian church on Friday at 2 pm, Rev. E.B. Cake officiating.
