Creda Frances Burch, of Irving, passed away Wednesday, March 21, 2012. She was born July 27, 1916 in Abbott, Arkansas to Benjamin Aaron & Sophia Lucretia (McNeely) Cravens. Frances was a member of First Baptist Church of Irving since 1952, where she was very involved in the Music Ministry and also teaching Sunday school.
She is preceded in death by her husband W. W. "Woody" Burch, Sr., brothers John Cravens and Howard Alexander, daughter Martha "Susie" B. Welch, and grandson Scott Burch. She is survived by seven children, Wilson Burch and wife Jerry, Joanne Wineinger and husband Kenneth, Ruthie Hinson, Louis Burch and wife Linda, Louise McCourt and husband Ray, Charlotte Newsom and husband Tommy, Beki Lowry and husband Robert; brother Jim Alexander; 14 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 5 great-great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 10 AM Monday, March 26, 2012 at First Baptist Church-Irving, with Rev. John Durham officiating. The family wishes to extend special thanks to Lexington Place in Richland Hills, and Seasons Hospice for their care of Frances. Memorial donations may be made to First Baptist Church-Irving, Music Program.
