Agnes Cayse, 93, died March 13 at her home after a short illness.

Born March 5, 1911, to the late Joe Thomas and Maggie Kines, she was the widow of Herbert "Huss" Cayse.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Lou Rupard and her husband, Howard, of Lexington; three grandchildren and their spouses, Debbie and Phillip Buffin of Lexington, Becky and Michael Grogg of Crestwood, Ky. and Michael and Natalie Rupard of Nicholasville; six great-grandchildren, Christopher, Candice, Ashley, Sterling, Meghan and Hunter; and two great-great grandchildren, Cody and J.D.

Mrs. Cayne was a 1928 graduate of Picadome High School and a member of Nicholasville Christian Church. She was a member of the Jessamine County Homemakers (Town & Country) for more than 50 years with a near perfect attendance. She was well known for her blue ribbon entries in the county fair, and she shared her knowledge of gardening, craft making, cooking and quilting with many through the years.

She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.

Services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 16, at Hager & Cundiff Funeral Home in Nicholasville with the Rev. Dick Wilkins and the Rev. Greg Porterfield officiating. Burial was at Bluegrass Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers were Michael Rupard, Hunter Rupard, Christopher Rupard, Michael Grogg, Sterling Grogg, Phillip Buffin and James "Cricket" Walter.
