This is the most popular photo of Fern, during one of the rare times she wore the hijab (head scarf) given to her to help disguise herself. Of course, her blonde hair and blue eyes still distinguished her from the dark-haired Iraqi women.

Closeup view of Fern Holland's grave at Bluejacket Cemetery. Her portrait, I believe, is one of her professional lawyer pictures, like what you would see on her business card. I could be wrong, but it seems logical, judging from her professional appearance here. This photo of her has appeared in many websites that talk about how she dedicated her life to helping people in need.

Rear view of Fern Holland's grave, Bluejacket Cemetery. The rose with the crying eye was from a picture Fern painted in high school. According to her brother Joe, who now has the picture, it seemed to have special meaning for Fern; she carried it with her for many years.

If you're standing in front of this sign and looking at it, you're facing west. Walk west all the way to the fence, then go south toward the big tree. Fern's grave and her mother's grave are right there.
