Danny David Richards, age 68, of Portland, passed away March 16, 2012. He was born in Simpson County, Kentucky, to the late Ammon and Bessie Richards. Danny served in the U.S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Richards of Portland; daughter, Terinna (Buddy Johns) of Portland; sons, Danny A. Richards of Portland, Tenn., Danny David Richards, Jr., of Gallatin; five grandchildren; one great grandchild; sister, Reba (Donald Pittman) of Portland; brother, Jackie Richards (June)of Gallatin. Visitation is 11 a.m., until 9 p.m., Saturday, March 17, 2012. Funeral service is 1 p.m., Sunday, March 18, 2012, at Wilkinson & Wiseman Funeral Home with Bro. Billy Brown officiating. Interment is at Sulphur Springs Cemetery with Military Honor Guard. Family will serve as pallbearers.
