Enlisted in the US Marine Corps on September 30, 1965. Served in E CO, 2ND BN, 3RD MARINES, 3RD MARDIV, III MAF, United States Marine Corps

As a rifleman he was killed in action by hostile artillery in Quang Tin, South Vietnam. He had been in Vietnam for nine days on his second tour of duty. He was survived by two brothers, Eddie and Wayne; and one sister, Linda.

Awarded the Purple Heart. From Orlando, Florida. His name is inscribed on Panel 47E, Row 031 of the Vietnam Memorial.
