Oil company cashier
Mrs. Evelyn C. Martin of East Point, a retired cashier for an oil company, died of cancer Wednesday at her home. She was 57.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Howard L. Carmichael and Sons Chapel with burial at Holly Hill Cemetery.
Surviving are her husband, Richard J. Martin; three sons, Danny Herrin of East Point, Kenneth Herrin of Shady Dale and Telone Herrin of Atlanta; three daughters, Gail Parker of Palmetto, Vicki Herrin of East Point and Wanda Goodwin of Atlanta; a stepson, Lloyd Martin of McDonough; two stepdaughters, Jacqueline Martin and Pamela Alexander of East Point; five brothers, Jack Cooper of Monticello, Herbert Cooper of Tampa, Fla., Lester Cooper of Palmetto, Herman Cooper of Marietta and Richard Cooper of Forest Park; four sisters, Ellen Scalf and Diane Hines of East Point, Nancy Cooper of Carrollton, and Arabelle Corbitt of Atlanta; and several grandchildren.
