She was born April 22, 1932 in Alexandria, IN, the daughter of Francis Fisher and Florence (Shepard) Fisher. She has resided in Alexandria all of her lifetime.
Joyce was devoted to the care and nurture of her family. She was an avid reader and thoroughly enjoyed flower gardening and her "gnomes."
Survivors include two daughters, Diana (Gary) Williams and Sandra Cronk, all of Anderson; son, Robin Wilson, Alexandria; five grandchildren, Craig (Shannon) Johnson, Lee Johnson, Andrea Williams, Kelly Williams, and Abigail Cronk; great-granddaughter, Kathleen Johnson; brother, Richard Fisher of Summitville; sister, Lorraine B. Fisher of Alexandria; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Robert "Sonny" Wilson; her parents; and several brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Owens Funeral Home, 412 N. Harrison St., Alexandria, on Wednesday from 1-2:30 p.m. At 2:30 p.m. a sharing time will commence with her grandson, Craig Johnson, officiating. Following the closure of the sharing time, interment will follow in Park View Cemetery.
