Janye White was born to loving parents Clara and Jack Ater on August 14, 1930. An only child, she was her parents' great joy. She passed from this world on March 18, 2012, surrounded by her loving family: sons, Alan White and John Langford; daughter-in-law Rachel White; grandchildren, April Langford and Randy Clement, and Scot Langford; and two great-grandchildren, twin boys Royce and Everson Clement. Janye was a dignified and honorable woman who loved her family, cherished her friends and took great joy and pride in her work. She enjoyed a long career at Radio Lab as office manager and was an active member of the Nancy Anderson Chapter of the DAR. She will be missed, remembered and treasured. The family has requested in lieu of flowers, a donation be made in Janye's name to Hospice of Lubbock. Graveside services will be held 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 22, at the City of Lubbock Cemetery under the direction of Sanders Funeral Home.
