BOGALUSA - Lewis R. Bolinger, 84, a resident of Bogalusa, died Saturday in Veteran's Administration Medical Center in New Orleans.
He is survived by a daughter, Deloris Jones of Angie; three sons, Sherrell Bolinger of Laplace, Randall Bolinger of Mulvane, KS and Reginald Bolinger of Woodbridge, VA; a sister, Cleora Deaver of Temple, Texas; a brother, Warren Bolinger of Burkburnette, Texas; 11 grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Fannie Lee Gore Bolinger; and a daughter, Deborah Bolinger.
Visitation will be held today at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5-10 p.m. The U.S. Army of Fort Polk will give a full military service in the funeral home chapel at 1 p.m. tomorrow. The Rev. Gary Bennett will officiate at the service. Interment will follow in Advance Cemetery in Sumrall, MS.
