Evelyn Marie Dale, age 70, of Hume, Missouri died Saturday March 17, 2012.
Funeral services will be held 10 AM Wednesday March 21, 2012 at the Schneider Funeral Home and Crematory, Hume Chapel. Burial will be in the Hume Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 PM Tuesday at the Schneider Hume Chapel. The family suggests contributions to the Hume Cemetery. Evelyn Marie Dale, 70, of Hume, Missouri died Saturday, March 17, 2012 at her home. She was born July 30, 1941 at St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of Forest and Verna Webb McCormick.
She graduated from Fulton High School in 1959. On February 28, 1959, she married Lennie Dale and they just celebrated 53 years of marriage.
She was a member of the Hume Christian Church. She worked for 15+ years at the Prescott Countryview Nursing Home and later owned and operated Dale's Country Inn in Hume. She was preceded in death by her parents. Survivors include her husband, Lennie of the home; one son, Kevin Dale and Ruth and one daughter, Sharyl Dale, all of Hume, Missouri; four grandchildren (three of which she proudly helped raise), Amanda Kirkland and Steve of Pittsburg, Kansas, Wesley Dale of Rich Hill, Missouri; Deanna Lewis and Roscoe and Kimberley Dale, all of Hume, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Jeremy, Blake, Dalen, Bryce, Evie-Lyn, and Lincoln Lewis; Joseph Dale and Braelynn, Brecklen and Beriah Morrison. After retiring for medical reasons she became a "Grandma" to many; two of them are Grant and Hannah Swickhamer of Hume, Missouri; two brothers, Martin McCormick and Lois and Rex McCormick and Vera, all of Butler, Missouri; one sister, Delores Cronin of Shawnee, Kansas and many nieces and nephews.
