TIPTON — Irene Marie Adams, 88, of Tipton, died Friday, March 16, 2012, at Cedar Manor Nursing Home.
Burial in Tipton Masonic Cemetery.
Irene was born on September 12, 1923, in Muscatine, to Charles R. and Mary Kraus Tisor. She was a member of the Muscatine High School Class of 1941. Irene was united in marriage to John "Bud" Adams on April 17, 1948, at the Zion Lutheran Church in Muscatine. Irene was a homemaker and worked at Webers Button Factory in Muscatine for several years. She was a member of AARP-Plus 60 and a member of the Tipton VFW Auxiliary.
Irene is survived by her neighbors and caregivers, the Danny Laing family of Tipton, Iowa; her nieces, Charlene Thumm of Tipton and Jennifer Zahradnek of Iowa City; as well as several great-nieces and great-nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her her husband, Bud, in 1986.
