A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday, January 6, 1995 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Spirit Lake, for Delores E. Naber, age 78, of Spirit Lake. Rev. Albert O.
Grendler officiated the service. Lector was Grady Parham.
Music was provided by Karen Arnold, organist, and Steve Gentry, soloist. Giftbearers were Karrie Naber, Emily Naber, Terri Naber, Tammy Naber and Shelly Naber.
Pallbearers were Brian Naber, Jason Naber, Pat Nellis, Rusty Naber, Bruce Naber and R.J. Naber.
Honorary pallbearers were Nate Windelow. Shawn Naber, Brent
Kelly, Shane Naber, Jim Bunkers, and Ed Kelly.

Delores Elanore Naber, the daughter of John and Susan
(Schwebach) Bunkers, was born on January 13, 1916 in Dell Rapids, S.D. She lived her youth in the Dell Rapids area where she attended school at St. Mary's Catholic School.
She was united in maniage to Roman Naber on January 13, 1941 in Garretson, S.D. Delores and Roman spent their married life in the lakes area. Delores was a full time
housekeeper for many families in the lakes area. Not only did she raise her own children, she also helped raise the Rodawig children and she was a big part of their family.
Delores was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Spirit Lake and the Rosary Society. She was the first to be elected mother of the year at St Mary's Church.

She liked to refinish furniture and maintained a spotless home. She also had a big heart when it came to helping her daughters-in-law when and where she could. Delores was always very proud of her husband, children and their families.

Delores passed away on Tuesday, January 3, 1995, at Dickinson County Memorial Hospital in Spirit Lake.

Survivors include her husband,Roman; her nine sons: Glen and his wife, Dianne and children, Shawn and Tammy of Bothell, Wash.; David and his wife, Marge and children, Jill, Sara and Jenna of Bothell, Wash.; Warren and his
wife, Cindy and children, R.J. and Emilee of Hamilton, Ill.; Gordon and his wife, Vicki, and children, Jason and Karrie of Hampton; Paul and his wife, Becky and children
Brian,Shane, Rusty and Shelly of Harris; Joel and his wife, Karen, and children, Emily and Kelsey of Primghar, Noel and his wife, Carla, and children, Terri, Bruce, Lanea, Leah and Leslee of Primghar; Eugene and his wife. Deb and children, Amanda, Meghan and Jordon of Spirit Lake; Greg and his wife, Tami and child, Nate, of Hampton; and by one great grandson, David. She is also survived by a sister, Rita Vandersnick of Carthage. S.D.; a brother. Jim Bunkers of Dell Rapids, S.D.; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, a daughter, Kathleen, and a son, Richard.
Interment was in St. Margaret's Cemetery. Spirit Lake. Turner Funeral Home of Spirit Lake was in charge of arrangements.
