Agnes, 74 of Huntington passed away at 9:36 a.m. on Sunday, March 18, 2012 at Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was a daughter of Charles A. and Margaret R. (Hatfield) Wilson.

She was a 1955 graduate of East Union High School; she received her bachelor's degree from Huntington University and her master's degree from Saint Francis University.

She taught elementary school in the Huntington County Community School Corporation for 10 years. She was owner and operator of The Bobbin and was also manager of the Shoe Show in Huntington for 3 years. She taught piano lessons for over 40 years. She played the organ at the College Park United Brethren Church for 19 years and at the Huntington Presbyterian Church for several years. She was the music director at the Markle United Methodist Church for many years.

She was a member of the College Park United Brethren Church. She was involved in many areas at the church and was a Stephen minister. She was a member and past president of the Huntington Kiwanis Club. She was involved in republican politics in Huntington County for several years.

She was united in marriage to Robert L. "Bob" Baker on August 17, 1956 at the Prospect Church in Wells County. Her husband survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters: Pamela Beckford of Huntington; Linda Smith of Huntington; a brother: Max E. Wilson of Markle; a sister: Nancy Johnson of Bluffton; four granddaughters: Andrea, Elizabeth, Brianna, Rebekah and a great grandson: Soren.

She was preceded in death by four brothers: Richard Wilson, Robert Wilson, Phillip Wilson, Everett Wilson and four sisters: Magdalene Crum, Phyllis Confer, Betty Blew and Janet Cooper.

Funeral service were held on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at the College Park United Brethren Church, Huntington with Pastor Gary Dilley officiating.

Memorials were to College Park United Brethren Church Building Fund, Huntington, IN.
