Heinrich "Henry" Klumb was born on February 24, 1095 in Cologne, Germany. He passed away in San Juan, Puerto Rico on November 20, 1984 as the result of an automobile accident. His wife Else Schmidt Klumb died in the same accident.
He was survived by his two sons Peter and Richard Klumb Schmidt
He was one of Puerto Rico's most prominent architects in the mid 20th Century. In 1979 The American Institute of Architects makes him the first Fellow in Puerto Rico.
