on the morning of January 12. He had been afflicted with heart disease and
dropsy for some time, but was able to walk through the house and was walking
from the kitchen to another room when he died. Peter Greer was a quiet
respectable man, and was for many years a resident of Bratton township. He
will be much missed by all. A sorrowing wife, four daughters and three sons
are left to mourn the loss of a kind husband and father. He was aged about
67 years. The funeral which was held on the 14th was a very large one.
Services were conducted in the Amish church by Rev. Ash, after which the
remains were laid to rest in the Hartzler cemetery.
