Henry farmed in the Perley area until 1951 when he purchased the Andrew Gordon farm, one mile west of Borup. Henry and Marie had farmed there for 20 years when they moved to Moorhead, MN. Henry worked for American Crystal Sugar Company in Moorhead for 39 years.
In retirement Henry was a Twins and Vikings fan.
Henry and Marie became the parents of four children as follows: Kim Leroy 15 Nov 1948-Living (Mary Susan "Susie" Babington 21 Jul 1952-12 Sep 2014), Kelvin Scott 3 Feb 1950-24 Dec 2004 (Allyson J. Braun), Galyn Sue 26 Jun 1951-7 Mar 2014 (Michael W. Johnson m 1969 div 1975, and Dr. Marvin Ugland m 1995) and Trona Joy 21 Jan 1953-Living (Mark Douglas Miller 3 Oct 1951-Living).
