BOBBY BURNS, 75, of Duncan, Okla., passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at Wilkins Nursing Home in Duncan.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at Fair Baptist Church, with Rev. David Spangler officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, with arrangements under the direction of Carter-Smart Funeral Home.
There will be a family visitation from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
Bobby was born May 30, 1936, in Elgin, Okla., to Jay K. and Jewell Donahoe Burns. He was a retired plant engineer for Halliburton Energy and from Landstar Trucking.
He was married to Silvia Tinkle on June 25, 1955, at the Nazarene Church in Duncan. They were members of Fair Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Silvia of Duncan; son, Bobby J. and his wife Debbie of Duncan; daughter, Susan Thornton and husband Russell of Duncan; a brother, David Burns of Duncan; and five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Robert Burns, Randy Burns, Zack Thornton and Scott Thornton.
