Glen Mahana was born in Vidor, Texas to Alvin and Ophelia Mahana. He has 8 brothers and 2 sisters. Danny, Lee Roy, Chris, Ned, Melvin, Alvin Ray, M.D., twins Carol and Karen, and Clinton.

On 5 May 1972, he married Susan Madsen of Rawlings, Wyoming in the Salt Lake City temple, Salt Lake City, Utah. He and Susan are the parents of 5 children: Mitchell, Kristy, Samson, Michael, and Kevin.

Glen attended Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and was part of an entertainment group called the Program Bureau. They toured throughout the southwest United States. He more often than not stole the show with his hilarious impressions. Glen was later a member of the "Mahana and Jaspering" comedy team.

Glen lost his life in a plane crash.
