Isaac R. Kachel, of this borough, the victim of an automobile accident, on the state road, a short distance southwest of this borough, succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday at noon, at his home, No. 288 S. State street; he gradually grew weaker until the end. On Wednesday morning, his condition was very serious, and it was seen that he could not live much longer. He lingered until noon, when he passed away.
Mr. Kachel was one of Ephrata's most highly respected citizens. He was of a quiet disposition and manner and his many friends join in expressing sympathy to the members of his family by reason of their sudden and accidental bereavement. He had been a resident of this borough for eleven years.
