Alexander MacDICKEN was born in Bokoshe, Le Flore County, Oklahoma, United States on 1912-02-07. He was the sixths child of Moses McDICKEN (November 24, 1872) and Sarah PARK (May 1, 1873). He had two brothers (Moses William James McDICKEN (June 22, 1905), Robert Park McDICKEN (December 21, 1909)) and three sisters (Annie "Ada" Johnston McDICKEN (May 26, 1901), Martha McDICKEN (February 08, 1903), Mary Jane McDICKEN (April 26, 1907)).

When he was 24 years old, his father Moses McDICKEN died (1936-05-29). When he was 41 years old, his mother Sarah PARK died (1953-04-21).

He married Margaret C. MACQUEEN in ca. 1945. On 1953-09-11, he married Dorothy Pearl ROBINSON (June 16, 1918) in Bellingham, Whatcom County, Washington, United States. He was 33 years old when he married Margaret C. MACQUEEN. He was 41 years old when he married Dorothy Pearl ROBINSON, who was 35 years old at that time. He had two children with Dorothy Pearl ROBINSON: Diane Alexandra MacDICKEN (February 27, 1954), Kathleen Susan MacDICKEN (May 31, 1958).
