I found Find a Grave when researching my family tree. When I requested a photo be taken in Montreal, I thought I could help in Surrey. I made Victory Memorial Park my cemetery of choice as I wanted to bring some honour to those that served. Working with two other Find a Grave members, we have completed photographing Victory Memorial Park, Gardens of Gethsemani, Valley View, Sunnyside Lawn, Fort Langley, Murrayville and Pacific Heritage Cemetery. I have since become a volunteer researcher with the Last Post Fund - Unmarked Graves Initiative. As a separate project, I am working with Forest Lawn to identify unmarked veteran's graves and to apply to the Last Post Fund to place markers.
I am so grateful for the help of volunteer photographers and helpers as my research finds veterans outside of my area. Thank you volunteers for your tireless efforts and for all of your help.
I am happy to transfer memorials as well as accept edits provided they can be substantiated. Please source your edits as it is extremely time consuming to locate the source for each suggested edit I receive.
