BUD DITTO
Oquawka - Bud Ditto, 76, died in the St. Francis hospital early Friday morning, Dec. 6, where he had been a patient for about 15 months, following a stroke.
He was born near Gladstone, March 12, 1870, the son of Andrew Jackson and Ellen J. Ditto, and was one of 10 children, of whom 9 are now dead.
He married Almira Ryason May 5, 1893, who survives, with a daughter, Mrs. Cecil Cole, Burlington, a brother, Bert Ditto, Oquawka. 2 grandsons and 3 great - grandchildren. A son, Henry Clay Ditto, died in infancy.
Ditto lived in the Gladstone vicinity until 1904, when he moved to Oquawka. He was affiliated with the Gladstone Methodist church.
Funeral arangements are pending. The body is at Prugh's.
Mrs. Ditto, the widow, lives at 300 South Ninth.
