Death of Mrs. CORNELL

Sarah WILSON, wife of Washington CORNELL, died in this city Tuesday morning. She was born in Warren county, O., in October, 1831 (sic. October 25, 1831, Warren county, Ohio). She was married in the fall of 1849 (sic. January 6, 1848 according to obituary for Washington CORNELL), and in 1850 came to this county with her husband. From that time until seventeenyears ago, whe the family removed to this city, she had lived on a farm near REED's mill. Mrs. CORNELL was the mother of eleven children, seven of whom are now living. G. W. and Mrs. Joseph WIREMAN reside in Liberty township; Seneca at Ottumwa; Oscar at Larned, Kansas; Sylvenus, Alva and Mrs. William MILLER, in or near this city. All her children were with her in her last illness. Mrs. CORNELL was an excellent woman and was held in high regard by all who knew her. She was ill about two weeks, with pneumonia. The remains will be interred tomorrow afternoon, funeral services being held by Rev. C. Springer at the family home.
