Services will be Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. in the United Methodist Church in Zearing with burial in the Zearing Cemetery. Rev. Albert Best will be officiate.
Born Oct. 26, 1913 at Zearing to Arthur Ray and Lura McBride, former residents of Nevada, he had lived his entire live in Zearing.
A graduate of Zearing High School, he served in the armed forces in WW2 and was an active member of the Zearing American Legion Post 116 having served in all phases of Legion work at post, county and district levels. He was a member of the United Methodist Church.
He was a farmer and well known for his raising of pure-bred angus cattle.
He is survived by his wife Marjorie; 4 daughters, Anita of Ames, Lana, Kathy and Kim all at home; one sister, Mary (Mrs. Alwin Johnson of Zearing. He was preceded in death by his parents.
