Worcester Woman Dies
Worcester – Mrs. Alice Emma Barton, 86, died early yesterday in the home of her daughter Mrs. Otho Millias.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Skinner Funeral Home, with the Rev. Richard Graham of the Methodist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Friends may call any time at the funeral home.
Mrs. Barton was born Aug. 3, 1866, in Worcester, daughter of James and Eva Ann (Cole) Persons, and was married to Leonard Barton in East Worcester on March 20, 1886. He died in 1943.
Mrs. Barton and her husband had formerly resided on a farm at Center Valley.
Surviving are her six children, Mrs. Olho Millias and Mrs. Howard Brownell of Worcester, Mrs. Fred Lake of Binghamton, Earl Barton of East Worcester, Ernest Barton of Schenevus, and Chauncey Barton of Hartwick; 22 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
