Joseph was my 4th-great-grandfather, and served in the Civil War (Company E, 58th Regiment, Pennsylvania Infantry; also temporarily detached to the 7th Massachusetts Battery). May have also served during the War with Mexico.

Widower of Emeline C. [--?--] (d. 1841) - no known children. Husband of Marinda ROBBINS (1827 - 1912), whom he married 15 January 1842 in Elkland, Tioga County, Pennsylvania. Father of Charles H., Emeline C., Joseph Uzza Benson, Benjamin Leander, Evaline L., Ben Franklin, and William Wallace ROBBINS.
