Alfred B. Oswald, a native San Josean, and veteran employee of the Farmers Union store here, died at his home at 467 N. 16th Street today following a two week illness. Funeral arrangements are being completed by Monahan, O'Brien and Moriarty Chapel.
Oswald leaves a widow, Mrs. Mary Oswald; a son James Oswald and a daughter Mary Constance Oswald. His parents, both deceased, were Mr. and Mrs. James B. Oswald, his mother having been Aurelia Sambrano, member of a pioneer family prominently identified in early days with the New Alamaden Mines.
Members of San Jose Court No. 913, Catholic Foresters of America, are expected to participate when his funeral is held.
