HUTCHINSON – Harris N. Miller, 88, died Thursday, October 6, 2005. Mr. Miller was born on March 3, 1917 in Bridgeport. He was a teacher at Salina Area Vo-Tech for 20 years.

Mr. Miller was a Tech Sergeant in the U.S. Army. He served during World War II and fought at the Battle of the Bulge. Some of his hobbies included playing his fiddle and working on his 1931 Ford.

He is survived by two sons; Lynn of Byers, CO and John and his wife Kay of Hutchinson, two daughters; Elaine Berry and her husband Ralph of Sun River, OR and Louise Creamer and her husband Harley of Wells, KS, two brothers; Lowell of Assaria and Dwight of Salina, twelve grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret, in 1998, a brother, Dwain Miller, a sister, Dorothy Rivir and a grandson, Cory Miller.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2005 at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, 1920 E. Crawford, Salina. Pastor David Bolz will be officiating.

Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Park.

Memorials may be made to the Salina Area Vo-Tech, 2562 Centennial, Salina.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 12, 2005 from noon until 8 p.m. at Roselawn Heights Memorial Chapel, where family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m.
