Karen Lynn Fitzgerald, 40, our loving daughter, sister and friend, of Middlesex, N.C., formerly of Buena Vista, passed away at her home on Tuesday, November 11, 2003.
She was employed at Wake Heart Associates in Raleigh, N.C. with lots of special friends.
She was preceded in death by her fiance, Gary Wilson. Karen is survived by her mother and father, William "Fuzzy" and Marie Fitzgerald of Buena Vista; her half-brother, William David Hartless of Texas; her sister and brother-in-law, Cindy F. and Eddie Dudley of Buena Vista; her sister and brother-in-law, Alice F. and William (Mike) Smiley of Buena Vista, her sister, Barbara Fitzgerald of Alpharetta, Georgia, her brother, William Scott Fitzgerald of Vesuvius; her brother, Joseph (Joey) Fitzgerald of Buena Vista, a niece Rene' D. and Josh McArdle of New Jersey; a nephew, Norris Dudley, Jr. of Buena Vista; and a special aunt, Pansy Alger of Buena Vista.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 18, 2003 at Green Hill Cemetery with Rev. Lester Kennedy and Rev. Christian Becker officiating. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund in memory of Karen Fitzgerald may be made to Bolling, Grose & Lotts Funeral Service, 2160 E. Midland Trail, Buena Vista, Va. 24416. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
