Agnes R. Trybula, age 82, of Neillsville, formerly of Thorp, passed away at her home on Friday, February 24, 2012.

Agnes Rita Meske was born on November 11, 1929, in the Town of Withee, rural Thorp, the daughter of George and Anna (Oberle) Meske.

She was raised on the family farm and received her education at St. Bernard's Catholic School. She graduated from Thorp High School in 1948. Agnes then attended Taylor County Normal School and graduated with a teaching certificate in 1950. She taught at Breezy Hill and Pineland Schools until 1952.

Agnes was united in marriage to Frank Trybula on February 20, 1952, at St. Hedwig's Catholic Church in Thorp. She farmed with her husband south of Willard until retirement.

She was an active member of Holy Family Catholic Church and was active with the Willard Historical Society.

Agnes had many interests such as gardening, reading, crafts, puzzles and embroidery. She especially loved spending time with her family.

She will be dearly missed by her children, Francis (Rebecca) of Neillsville, Joyce (Dennis) Fitzl of Willard, Peggy Frank of Eau Claire, Jerry (Theresa) of Neillsville, Rebecca (Steve) Niedzwiecki of Long Prairie, MN, and Joe of Neillsville; nineteen grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters, Beatrice Husting of Waukesha, Betty Straszkowski of Thorp, and Dolores Meske of Colorado Springs, CO; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank on May 15, 2000; three daughters, Joan Marie in November 1952, Claire Mae in May 1965, and Yvonne Steinmetz in January 1985; one grandson; and three sisters, Marge Bloczynski, Irene Klimick and Mary Ann Gettler.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 1, 2012, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Willard. Rev. Joseph Follmar will officiate and burial will follow in St. Bernard's Catholic Cemetery in Thorp.
