June Arbeiter, age 95, of Huron, SD, died Wednesday, March 14, 2012, at SunQuest Center in Huron. Her funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 19, at Living Hope Alliance Church in Huron (18th & Frank) with burial at Riverside Cemetery. Visitation with family present will be Sunday from 6-8 p.m. at Welter Funeral Home with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m.; or Monday morning one hour prior to the service at the church.
June Arbeiter was born June Rose Moeller, daughter of Herman and Molly (Meyer) Moeller, on July 1, 1916, in Huron, SD. They lived south of south of Cavour where she attended country school through the 8th grade.
On October, 1, 1938, June married Edward Arbeiter in Huron. They lived for a short period of time in Estelline prior to moving to a farm near Huron. June and Edward enjoyed 63 years of marriage. They farmed until their retirement in 1989 and in the fall of 1997 they moved into Huron.
June's hobbies included sewing, crocheting, quilting, gardening, and hosting family gatherings. She will be remembered as a great mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who took interest in her family's activities. Shortly after her 95th birthday June entered SunQuest Healthcare Center where she was living at the time of her death.
